As a Mediaweb member or client, your privacy is incredibly important to us, and it is important that you understand
how we collect and use information. This privacy statement outlines the use and protection of information within the Mediaweb site.

What information is gathered by Mediaweb?
As a journalist member of Mediaweb, we request and collect certain contact information from the registration page such
as your name, contact numbers, media and preference information such as your beat, news category interests
etc. As a company client, we collect contact and billing information on the registration page so press releases sent can be effectively
billed.
What are "cookies" and how does Mediaweb use them?
The Mediaweb site uses cookies to keep track of your account. A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to your
browser from a web server and stored on your computer's hard drive. We use cookies to both store and retrieve
your login information so you don't have to re-enter it each time you visit our site. Information stored
on these cookies is not used in any other manner. If you do not have cookies activated you will still be able to access the website
but will be required to login each time you visit.
How does Mediaweb use collected information?
As a Mediaweb journalist member, we may use your contact information to send you breaking news releases, monthly
newsletters and information about Mediaweb. You may however, opt-out of receiving the newsletter (on
the My Details page).
As a Mediaweb company client, we use contact information to let you know when releases have been sent and financial information
to bill you for products and services.
Mediaweb will not disclose company client or journalist member information to any third party, except under the following
circumstances. Mediaweb will only disclose your personal information, the contents of your communications,
and/or your contact and financial information if required to do so by law, or with your consent, or
in the good faith belief that such action is necessary:
to protect and defend the rights or property of Mediaweb or others;
to meet legislative requirements or to comply with a legal actions taken against Mediaweb.
How does Mediaweb protect my information?
This site has standard security measures in place to protect against the loss or misuse
of the information collected, but we cannot guarantee complete security.
